Lloyd’s Construction Services, Inc. provides expert demolition, excavation, roll-off, debris management, and related services.
With over 41 years experience, we consistently execute our work efficiently and reliably.
Lloyd’s award-winning, family-backed, full service approach has established us as a leader in the construction industry.
March 17, 1983. At the age of 17, John Lloyd along with father, Jim Lloyd saw a need in the construction industry for a service that could provide new home clean-ups at a quoted price. As a result John and Jim's dream of Lloyd’s Construction Services, Inc. became a reality.
Providing clean-ups around the Metro area, operations began to grow and eventually Jim’s wife, Merry, and John’s wife, Stephanie became involved in office and management duties.
Business continued to thrive, and as a result, Jim and John saw an opportunity to continue to expand in the construction industry. In 1990, the roll-off, selective demolition, and small-scale building demolition divisions were established. With the increased waste volume, in 1992, Lloyd’s opened its transfer station in order to maximize waste management operations. Then, in 2000, Lloyd’s expanded yet again by adding their earthwork division. Concrete sawing services were introduced in 2015 to further vertically integrate our demolition capabilities.
Today, Lloyd’s Construction Services, Inc. is a WBE corporation, providing quality roll-off, demolition, excavation and recycling services across the state of Minnesota, and is continually looking for additional sectors to immerse itself in. With John and Stephanie's daughters and son-in-laws now involved, LCS is proud to have been servicing the construction industry for over 40 years across three generations of the Lloyd family.

Our globally recognized safety program has received numerous awards over the years due to our outstanding safety awareness on the job. This is achieved through developing a safety culture from the top down, controlling hazards on the job, and going above and beyond what is expected to stay safe. Our most recent notable safety achievement was receiving second place globally at the 2012 World Demolition Awards, presented by KHL Group, for the Demolition Safety award. “We are extremely pleased with the results”, says John Lloyd, Vice-President of LCS. “I believe it shows a true reflection of the commitment and sincerity each and every employee possesses in regards to our safety program.”
Our highest priority at Lloyd’s has been and always will be safety. Our number one goal is to ensure that all of our employees come home safe every day. The prevention of occupationally induced injuries and illnesses will be given precedence over productivity whenever necessary. To the greatest degree possible, management will provide all the necessary resources required for personal safety and health in keeping with the highest standards. We thoroughly investigate incidents and near misses in order to determine the cause and prevent a similar occurrence in the future. Our foreman lead group stretches at the start of each work shift and perform daily site audits to identify and eliminate potential hazards.
Guest speakers and certified employees are consistently invited to speak to our company to ensure everyone remains up to date with the most recent safety practices. Safety Day, an annual event organized by our Safety Committee, re-trains all employees on equipment, company safety expectations, and much more.
Lloyd’s Construction Services, Inc. places a high emphasis on our safety program for obvious reasons. We find it important to keep our employees, others on the project, and anyone else who comes into contact with our company safe. It is a process that requires time and effort to maintain, but the benefits are immeasurable. With a MOD factor of .58, our numbers are a testament to the effectiveness of our program.
By choosing Lloyd’s on your next project, not only will you receive professional service and a positive attitude towards preserving our environment, but more importantly, you can count on a safety conscious and thoroughly trained crew to arrive at each and every site.
